A bit about Kendra

Kendra D’Angora is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art, as well as Aquinas College. All aspects of nature and life experience inspire Kendra’s art. She grew up near the sea. Nature is her muse.

For many years, she taught children in the school system of Brookline, Massachusetts. She was involved in several cooperative studios, and then became the assistant technician to the Clay Tech at Massachusetts College of Art. She was responsible for rebuilding and maintaining kilns, organizing and managing studio materials and facilities, as well as assisting the students. She is now the Art teacher for Saint Margaret's Regional School in Buzzard's Bay, Saint Stanislaus School in Fall River, and Wareham Council on Aging in Wareham. Kendra also currently teaches art of all mediums to all ages in her home studio, as well as at the Plymouth Guild Center for the Arts..

She recently finished illustrations for the upcoming children's book, "Matilda". This is the story of a donkey whose life changes for the better. She also drew illustrations for the children's book, "Three Ducks and a Goose". The cd attached includes the title song, sung by the chldren's choir of Saint Margaret's Regional School, where she teaches art.

She has participated in a large number of regional shows, auctions, and fairs throughout her years as a professional artist. Galleries as far as California have exhibited her sculptural clay work, as well as her pencil drawings. Awards are listed below.

Kendra’s pottery can be seen at Old Company Store in Wareham,  Cape Cod Cultural Center in Yarmouth, Ma, Plymouth Guild For The Arts Artisan Shop, and How on Earth in Mattapoisett. 

Commissions are available for portraits...people and animals, landscapes, illustrations, sculpture and pottery. Actually, any idea you have.
